Isac Nordstrom - Falmouth
During his Falmouth career, Isac Nordstrom has been a 4 -year varsity member of the hockey team.. As a freshman Isac scored 10 points and played a regular shift on the third line that was instrumental in advancing the team to the Western Maine championship game.
In his sophomore season Isac played a regular shift and emerged as a member of our first team penalty kill and power play unit and was second on the team in plus minus. He had 28 points, scored 3 game winning goals, scored 1 goal and two assists that included the tying goal with under 4 minutes in the Western Maine final. He then scored 1 goal and two assists helping to secure the State Championship title.
During his junior season he was the teams assistant captain, led the team in plus minus, was recognized as first team-All-State player, scored a team high of 44 points including 2 goals and 1 assists in the Western Maine final and again scored a goal and two assists including the assist on the OT goal to win the teams second straight State Championship title.
As a senior, Isac is the team captain and is a natural leader and despite missing 6 regular season games due to injury, finished the season averaging 2.6 points per game for 31 points, leads the team in PPG, is second on the team in game winning goals and plus minus. Isac is not only a exceptional goal scorer but has emerged as one of the best "two way players" in Falmouth history and is certainly one of the strongest impact players in the State this season as is supported by his career statistics and his consistent on ice performance.
Isac’s off ice accomplishments include learning to read and write the english language while maintaining a 89 average, he has volunteered for 4 years in the Opportunity Skate program in addition to helping with feeding the homeless at St Elizabeth’s pantry and St Luke's church. He is actively involved with the community accumulating 150 hours of community service that includes being a lead instructor for the Falmouth/Greeley summer Future Stars development camp. Isac plans to attend preparatory school as a post-graduate student and has been invited to attend and play hockey at Kimball Union, Cushing Academy and Kent Hill School.
